The Foundation (Rooted Stance) The feet are placed hip-width apart, creating a stable, rectangular base. The weight is distributed evenly across the tripod of the foot (heel, big toe, pinky toe), though the mocap data will capture the subtle, subconscious weight shifts (swaying) required to maintain balance. The knees are “soft”—neither bent nor locked—allowing for immediate reaction.

The Column (Stacked Alignment) The spine is elongated, stacking the pelvis, ribcage, and skull in a vertical line. This is not a rigid military attention but a functional uprightness. The chin is level with the horizon, indicating an outward, observant focus rather than an internal withdrawal.

The Gravitational Hang The arms hang loosely at the sides, with the elbows carrying a slight, natural bend. The fingers curl softly inward—the natural resting state of the hand’s tendons—void of the tension found in a fist or the stretch of a splayed palm.
